The Hershey Area Ministerium seeks to respond to the needs of the local community and to provide ecumenical worship services during Lent and at Thanksgiving. Offering collected during these services has supported a variety of mission projects across Central Pennsylvania, including Christian Churches United, which coordinates and provides resources to Dauphin County. The Ministerium also provides a Baccalaureate worship service for Hershey High School graduation. In 2004, an ecumenical task force was created to address emerging community needs, resulting in the formation of Love, INC of Greater Hershey, a new local chapter of the national organization Love In the Name of Christ. Additionally, the Ministerium has supported the Derry Township Social Ministries since its founding in 1969. This program oversees the local food pantry which provides monthly distributions to families in Derry Township.  For more information about the Hershey Ministerium, contact the Rev. Susan Claytor, President, at 533-2454.
