- Poinsettia Orders Due by Dec 10
It’s time to order poinsettia plants that will brighten the church during the Advent season. After Christmas, you’re invited to take your poinsettias home to enjoy for weeks to come. A single plant is $13; baskets are $25. Forms available at the insert rack in the Narthex or in Sunday bulletins.

11 pm Lessons and carols with soloists and special music, youth and young adult worship leaders and communion.

- Longest Night Worship

For anyone who this year finds it hard to face the joyous Christmas season: this worship service -- on one of the longest, darkest nights of the year -- intentionally acknowledges the pain and offers solace. Light refreshments following in the John Elder Classroom.
- PW Christmas Dinner: Dec 10
6 pm Monday, Dec 10 in the Lounge
Presbyterian Women’s annual holiday covered dish dinner will be followed by the program "Holiday Crafts." Bring a dish to serve 6-8 and a place setting for each person. All women welcome - bring a friend!

- Mission House Makeover
This new sign and recently completed landscaping in front of Derry's Mission House was made possible by everyone who participated in the Mission Madness basketball fundraiser last March and the leadership of members Sally McKinney and Marion Alexander. Thank you!

- Star Ornaments Sold Out!
Thanks to everyone who purchased one of Mark Smith's handmade star ornaments. All 100 have been sold, and proceeds will help to fund 2019 scholarships for deserving students in Pakistan.
- Dedication Sunday Report
As of Sunday, Nov 11, Derry Church has received 176 financial commitments totaling $767,493. Thank you! If you haven’t turned in your estimate of giving card for 2019, it’s not too late. You can fill out your estimate online or pick up a card at the Information Center in the Narthex. Return cards to the offering plate or mail to the church office to the attention of Sandy Miceli.
- Fleece Blanket-Making Returns Dec 16 & Jan 13
6-8 pm Sundays, Dec 16 & Jan 13Join the fun and make some knotted fleece blankets! All ages welcome to drop in for an hour or stay for the evening and help members of the Christian Ed Committee make blankets that will be used to warm up Harrisburg's homeless population. Another way you can support the effort is by providing two-yard lengths of warm fleece fabric in your favorite solid colors and patterns -- this fabric is often on sale during the winter months. Remember that two pieces of fleece are needed to make one blanket. Deliver fabric to the church office. Thanks, Derry!
- Come to the Derry Church Rake Fest
8:30 am Saturday, Dec 8 on the church grounds
The Building & Grounds Committee invite you to join them with rakes, bags and barrels to tackle the church grounds until no leaf is left standing. If the weather's nasty, the rake fest will be held on Dec 15 instead. We need your help so badly that we are bribing you with donuts and coffee! Questions? Contact Tom Kitzmiller.

- Friday Evening Women's Group: Nov 16

ME Steelman and Liz Gawron welcome all women to take a "night off" and join with friends from Derry and the community as we enjoy an evening of spiritual reflection and creativity. We will begin using Gracelaced as our guide to conversation and use the message as a resource for our suggested creative piece. No preparation required. Come as you are and enjoy time for yourself as you reflect, converse, listen and create at this new "Art in the Grove" supported ministry. We hope you will join us. Can’t make it this month? The group meets next on Dec 14.
