Finance Director

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our church organization and ensuring the church’s financial health.
Duties
The Financial Administrator is responsible for maintaining the church’s double-entry bookkeeping system and ensuring accurate financial records.
- This role includes managing cash receipts and deposits,
- Overseeing payroll and tax preparation, and
- Preparing essential financial statements and reports.
- The Financial Administrator also assists members with financial transactions, manages online giving platforms, and supports the Treasurer with annual financial reviews and audits.
- Additionally, this position involves training new staff on financial procedures and managing vendor accounts.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Proven experience as in a similar role using accounting software
- Knowledge of IRS rules around 501(c)(3) contributions, tax implications, and expenses
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in budgeting and financial planning
- Proficiency in accrual accounting, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with staff as well as volunteers
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently
This full-time position has a salary range of $57,700 – $70,000 per year.
